Phra Liang Wat Don Kaew Lamphun is one of the 5 Lamphun Amulet family of Hariphunchai Kingdom. Liang means protection from harm. It's no doubt that I am quite fond of the design of this amulet of Lamphun family in Hariphunchai Kingdom. It's thought That Phra Moggallana is on the left side of the Buddha and Phra Sariputta is on the right side of the Buddha. The art of the amulet is beautiful with 3-tier umbrella at the top of the triangular amulet. Phra Liang is in the diamond meditation posture on the lotuses base like other Lanna Style Buddha Images. The Buddha's virtue gives protection from danger like Phra Rod from Wat Mahawan.
พระเลี่ยงเป็นหนึ่งในห้าตระกูลพระลำพูนแห่งอาณาจักรหริภุญชัย เลี่ยงคือการปกป้องจากภัยอันตรายต่างๆ จึงไม่น่าสงสัยเลยว่าดิฉันชอบการออกแบบพระโบราณองค์นี้ค่อนข้างมากในตระกูลพระลำพูนยุคหริภุญชัยมีพระโมคคัลลานะพระสารีบุตร อยู่ข้างๆทั้ง2ด้าน พระมหาโมคคัลลานเถระ เป็นพระภิกษุอัครสาวกเบื้องซ้ายของพระพุทธเจ้า คู่กับพระสารีบุตร ผู้เป็นพระอัครสาวกเบื้องขวา ...งานศิลปสวยงาม มีฉัตร 3 ชั้นที่ยอดของสามเหลี่ยมองค์พระ และองค์พระเลี่ยงนั่งบนฐานบัว ท่านั่งแบบพระล้านนาคือปางสมาธิเพชร พุทธคุณดีด้านเลี่ยงจากภยันตรายต่างๆ เช่นเดียวกับพระรอด กรุวัดมหาวัน
Looking back to the history of ancient Lanna Thai Kingdom before the siege of Ayutthaya Kingdom in B.E. 1775 (1232 A.D.), the art style originated from Artisan family of Hariphunchai Kingdom, Lamphun. It is believed that they were influenced by many eras such as Dhavaravati, Indian Srikaset and Phukam of Burma, Lopburi and Lanna art styles. the Age was around 1,300 years ago from the present time (A.D. 2019). At that time, The famale king Chamdhevi marched her troops from Lopburi to Lanna Thai and settled down to build temple and pagoda at Wat Mahawan and Wat Chamdhevi until people found many kinds of amulets during the temple restoration in the reign of King Rama V.
เมื่อมองย้อนกลับมายังประวัติศาสตร์อาณาจักรล้านนาไทยโบราณก่อนจะถึงการบุกเช้ามายึดครองของอาณาจักรอยุธยาในปีพ.ศ. 1775 รูปแบบสกุลช่างทางศิลปะมีต้นกำเนิดมาจากสกุลช่างของอาณาจักร หริภุญชัย จังหวัดลำพูน เป็นที่เชื่อกันว่าศิลปะหริภุญชัยได้รับอิทธิพลมาจากหลายยุคหลายสมัยเช่นสมัยทวารวดี สมัยศรีเกษตรของประเทศอินเดีย สมัยพุกามของประเทศพม่า สมัยลพบุรีและสมัยล้านนา สมัยนั้นมีเวลาประมาณ 1,300 ปีนับจากเวลาปัจจุบัน พ.ศ 2562 ในเวลานั้นพระนางจามเทวีที่เป็นกษัตรีย์ได้ยกทัพจากอาณาจักรลพบุรีมายังอาณาจักรล้านนาไทย ทำการตั้งรกรากและปลูกสร้างวัดวาอารามและเจดีย์ ที่วัดมหาวันและวัดจามเทวี จนกระทั่งมีผู้ค้นพบพระเครื่องมากมายหลายชนิดในตอนที่มีการบูรณะปฎิสังขรณ์วัดในรัชสมัยของพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 5

In Thailand, Phra Liang amulets are very famous and very expensive and very rare. It is believed that their power can protect owners from dangers and harm.
